Visit Norway

The land where the sun doesn’t rise.

My collaboration with Visit Norway was born off of the back of the success of my midnight sun reel - ‘The land where the sun doesn’t set’. After Visit Norway noticed a significant increase in traffic regarding the midnight sun, we realised the next step was to work together to create part II - The land where the sun doesn’t rise’.

I partnered with Visit Norway and headed to Svalbard, an archipelago close to the North Pole. The goal? To create a video identical to my viral midnight sun reel, but flipped on its head. I visited in the dark season, when the sun never gets above the horizon, with a plan to increase interest to travel to not just Svalbard, but also mainland Norway during these long periods with no sunlight.

Visit Norway and myself agreed on a couple of deliverables: A story takeover, including a Q&A about Svalbard, some picture posts of my dark season experience, and of course, the big one, the polar night reel.

The resulting video was posted collaboratively across myself & Visit Norway’s account, and at the time of writing has gained almost 40M views. Take a look for yourself below. 🖤

The success of this initial collaboration marked the beginning of a long-lasting relationship with Visit Norway. In February 2025, I returned to Svalbard, creating another round of content for the Norwegian Tourism board promoting polar night. The dark season is a particularly quiet season for tourism, so my goal was to increase the interest in travelling to Svalbard and northern Norway, even when there’s no daylight! Below are a couple of the pieces of content we were able to capture together that will be used for years to come to promote travel to these regions.
